Anora Freund attends Presidential Inauguration in Washington, D.C.

Anora Freund, a Marquette University freshman majoring in political science will get the opportunity to attend the Presidential Inauguration and related festivities, including receptions and balls. Freund is a Winter native.

Freund is a student at the Les Aspin Center for Government, a program run by Marquette which allows students the opportunity to study for one semester in Washington, D.C., take classes and intern for a congressperson or government agency.

"The Marquette University Les Aspin Center for Government provides students with unique opportunities to participate firsthand in the policy making process. Through their internships and academic work, students are immersed in the workings of our nation's government," says Christopher Murray, coordinator of student affairs and visiting instructor at the Les Aspin Center for Government. "With this week's inaugural events, an extremely busy and formative time in our politics will commence. Twenty one Marquette students will not only be part of the festivities, but of the work that follows."

2013 marks the Les Aspin Center's 25th anniversary.
